Pre-Approval

Getting a pre-approved mortgage will give you the confidence of knowing what you can spend on a home before you start your search.  It also means that the interest rate at which you are approved should be guaranteed for approximately 90 days so you will be protected against rate increases.  We are able to recommend mortgage specialists who would be happy to answer any of your questions.

Finalizing Your Mortgage

Once you’ve found the home you want to purchase, there are documents you will probably be asked for in order to finalize your financing. These include:

  • A copy of the real estate listing of the property. If the home is still to be built, the mortgage lender will need to see the architect’s or builder’s plans and details on lot size and location.
  • A copy of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale.
  • Documents to confirm employment and income.

If you have a pre-approved mortgage, you will need to finalize a few details which your Mortgage Specialist will explain to you.
