Written On March 29, 2017
The “Humans of Heaps Estrin” blog series continues this week with Erika Hamblin. Erika joined our team to help nurture our important customer relationships and manage the daily work flow. She brings ten years of event marketing and client service experience across a number of different industries, building positive and long lasting connections. Erika has lived in Leaside for the past decade with her husband Drew and two children and when she’s not in Toronto, you can find her in Muskoka spending time with her family. Here are her answers:
What’s your favourite thing to do in Toronto when you have a few hours or day off?
I love catching up with my girlfriends or date night with the hubby on a patio in the summer, like Kasa Moto, The Local or Terroni’s rooftop patio.
Given the choice of anyone in the world, alive or dead, who would you want to have a meaningful conversation with?
I would have to say my dad, he passed away almost 4 years ago, he was a great story teller and I still had a lot to learn from him.
What’s your favourite restaurant?
There are so many that are great, but one of my favourite go-to restaurants that my husband I love to eat at is Dimmi’s in Yorkville. Some other places we love are Dailo and Salt.
If you could go anywhere in the world on a holiday where would it be?
Too many places to choose from. I would definitely go back to Italy, Greece or Bora Bora in a heartbeat! I would also love to check out Thailand.
What was your first job and how old were you?
I worked at a day camp as a counsellor, I was 14.
What are you most grateful for?
My family, friends and Netflix!
