The Annex

This wonderfully urban neighbourhood is home to many Victorian and Edwardian homes built between the 1880s and early 1900s, with some mid-rise apartments build in the 1950s and 1960s here and there.

The Annex is bordered by Bloor Street to the South, Dupont Street to the North, Bathurst Street to the West and Avenue Road to the East. The City of Toronto recognizes a broader definition of the neighbourhood that also includes Seaton Village to the West and Yorkville to the East.

The main shopping district for this area is bustling Bloor Street, and with the University of Toronto nearby, it has a distinctly collegiate feel. The Annex is well served in terms of public transit with both the Bloor and Yonge-University-Spadina subway lines adjacent to the neighbourhood. The Annex is located in Toronto Real Estate District C2.
