Heaps Estrin is proud to support many local charitable organizations, and this past weekend we had the privilege of being a part of an incredible event: Canoe Heads for Kids 2023. This event brought together individuals and organizations from all walks of life, united by a common goal – to provide life-changing experiences for children in need. 
Canoe Heads for Kids is an annual fundraising initiative that supports Amici Children’s Camp Charity. The aim is to raise funds to send children ages 7-17 from low-income households to overnight summer camps to enjoy a safe and enriching environment, make lasting friendships, and gain valuable life skills.
This year, the event was a resounding success, raising an impressive $269,542 and counting! These funds will go directly towards covering the costs of camp fees, transportation, meals, and activities for the campers. It is truly heartwarming to witness the generosity and compassion of our community coming together to make a difference in the lives of these young individuals.
Amici Children’s Camp Charity has been providing transformative camp experiences to children for over 50 years. Their mission is to ensure that every child, regardless of their financial circumstances, has the opportunity to attend summer camp. Through a combination of fundraising efforts, partnerships, and dedicated volunteers, Amici has been able to make a profound impact on the lives of countless children.
As the summer approaches, Amici campers are getting ready for their exciting adventure. They will soon be packing their duffle bags, saying goodbye to familiar surroundings, and embarking on a journey filled with new experiences and personal growth. The memories they create, the skills they learn, and the friendships they forge during their time at camp will stay with them for a lifetime.
