Dufferin Grove is a popular, family-friendly neighbourhood in downtown Toronto. It has excellent amenities, including a popular community park, a shopping centre, excellent schools and convenient access to public transit. Dufferin Grove Park, the area’s largest green space, has received much media attention in the past for its pivotal role in revitalizing the neighbourhood and creating a strong sense of community among residents. It is so popular that locals affectionately refer to it as their “Big Backyard.”
The majority of Dufferin Grove houses—a mix of semi-detached and detached—were built between 1890 and 1930. They also happen to be larger than those found in most downtown Toronto neighbourhoods. Their architectural style ranges from early to late Victorian to Edwardian and English Cottage.

The Dufferin bus connects passengers to Dufferin Subway Station, on the Bloor-Danforth line, while the Dovercourt and Ossington buses connect passengers to Ossington Subway Station, one stop east on the Bloor-Danforth line. The College and Dundas streetcars connect passengers to stations along the Yonge-University-Spadina line.
